Thanks ,

I have to admit the Panky surgeon was amazing, I have already had bloods, bone scan and booked in for pain clinic, ct scan for abdomen, liver and pelvis within weeks . When I had my density scan, the radiographer said oh you have pancreatic problems and was amazing, a little different from being treated as a fat type 2 diabetic . I rang regarding my CT apt and once again treated with amazing respect. It is difficult for me to trust this change of approach but its refreshing. I am so in charge of my illness as GPs and consultants have always let me do that. However, its now to complicated for me and there is a support needed. I booked an apt with GP to discuss why I haven't been contacted regarding updates from cardio, podiatry and panky specialist, I shouldn't need to do that. The GP lied to me about my panky referral , he hadn't done it when I asked twice and I found out it was another GP that had done it when I chased it up a third time, only when I was having a suspected heart attack. I feel sorry for people who don't stand up for themselves. I am a counsellor and knew the GP hadn't referred me as he clearly lied. I am hard on the consultants as I don't see them often so need info, I have 6 things for the GP to do tomorrow, they wont get done

Hi Helen

It's such a shame when you haven't got any faith in your GP because they are the link between you and the hospital.

You are entitled to complain to your practice manager if you are not satisfied with your care from the GP.

Sadly when there is a loss of confidence, it can take a while to rebuild that.

Delighted that your specialist appointment went so well though.

Regards

Jane xx

Good for you and especially important for all of us.

Push for mri and ct scan to see the state of your pancreas as it is now. Then you have a baseline for any deterioration. As I for a referral to a complex pain team as they have access to wider range of pain killers. A pain clinic does not.
