CP causes insanity?

Post by Sacha » Fri Mar 30, 2018 7:22 pm

Since my pain worsened rapidly and dramatically, I have found myself on a long, and quite impossible quest to be comfortable.
I have spent more money than sense dictates on different chairs and sofas.
Result? Same pain, less in bank.
Anyone out there done the same?
(Need to justify it to other half!)

The best relief that I found was sitting in armchair legs inclined backwards with my legs supported on a pouffe.

At times it was the only way that I could sleep.

I reread it and didn't see it at first. The eye only sees what it wants to see.

CP obviously does cause insanity if that’s a possible sitting position   .

What’s the difference from any other day then? :P :P

PS Sacha - just tell your husband that you could have spent the money on shoes and make up which he wouldn’t be able to share (or at least I assume so  ) but at least you have spent the money on something he can use as well.

I call it utter selflessness   .

Good one Jane. I've told him I'd have spent it on holidays if I was well.
Stu, still trying to picture you, sitting in that position. Legs inclined backwards? Are you made of rubber or just very flexible?

Maybe Stu's been secretly coming to my yoga classes

When my husband was fed up that I'd slept (well tried to) on the sofa for a couple of years he bought us a 6ft electric bed... not to electrocute me I hasten to add   It is 2 x 3ft beds connected but each with its own controller (and not the Fat one from Thomas The Tank  ) it was a lifesaver back then and I'm sure if ever I allow him to have a TV or to eat and drink in our bedroom he will use his remote controller that has never been used

When I move I’m going to invest in a rise and recline armchair. Who needs a bed? :D
