Yep, that is an odd one. Hadn't thought of that before. There's Robin Hood and Maid Marian pubs in Norwich as well.

I spent 3 years of my early twenties in Nottingham, good times, and there's a few of my wife's relatives live there so we nip up to visit from time to time. It's a bit too hectic there for me now, although even Norwich is getting a bit hectic for me these days. Good grief welcome to middle age with a chronic illness :). Happy to potter about in the garden with a mug of decaf these days.

R :)

I'm a descendant of A Sheriff of Nottingham,
Sir Gervais Clifton, every time I say that I do the
Robin Hood film tune.

Let's get a grip, folks. Robin Hood isn't real, just a legend of dubious origins. As is Norwich, as far as I am concerned. Never seen any evidence for it, anyway.

Nope. Given myself an almighty pinch and it's still here.

If you push your way through the musty clothes at the back of that old wardrobe in the spare room, wait until you see the second star on the right and then head straight on til morning, you'll get here eventually. ;)

Robin might not have been
But dear great great lots of greats granpappy Gervais was. I would like to think he had a bit of the evil Prince John about him.
