The rather depressing news is that Sky Cinema's Christmas channel kicks off on October 21st, showing an endless parade of Christmas movies.

I think I've lost the will to live :(

Most of the houses in our Road bedeck their homes from top to bottom with lights, moving lit up animals , blowup Father Christmas , Ranedeers and whatever flashes . Last year someone put up a post " North Pole " . Pity it was pointing South and couldn't be chsnged as it would have been upside down 😀. When the switch on happens there are hordes of people attending , then , every night upto Christmas Eve from 5pm until 10 pm .
Last year £5000 was raised for charity which is good , the only problem is the mess our fellow Country lovers leave , their parking habits and couldn't careless attitude to one of our lovely folk with children that adore it.
Seen a lot of decorations being set up in local stores and garden centres also.
Happy Christmas to you all 🤣🤣

My family are easy to buy gifts for, they don't expect anything and are pleased to receive even a token gift.

I tend to buy the kids 'useful' presents like pyjamas for the girls and T shirts for the boys. If they don't like them I haven't spent a fortune and they don't have to wear them outside of the house an the girls can always nick the boys' T shirts if they don't like them   .

I ordered a T shirt last year for my son in law with a rugby-themed comment on it. When it arrived it was just a plain black T shirt so I sent it back and explained to the company what had happened. I got exactly the same Tshirt again   .

So I rang them again. They were most apologetic and said they were doing a full check on their stock to find out what the problem was.

Imagine my embarrassment when I actually opened the packet and realised the writing was on the back not the front as I had assumed   .

I've just bought my first 2 Christmas presents   .

I was so chuffed with myself I went back into work and announced what I had done.

Two members of staff said that they had bought all their presents and they were already wrapped.

I feel so inferior   .

Hugs

Jane 😘
