Ah but you didn't say they had to be female virgins so be very specific what you wish for

I think your comment is a little harsh Mike to be honest.

There may well be hundreds of thousands of virgins in South America - unless you know something we don't   .

And consider yourself lucky Paul has taken the stance he has, you gave him a absolute get-in to start off again on his nun-fixation   .

It's an alternative fact, Jane, they're all the rage these days. :D

See! I knew Paul would manage to mention nuns at some point :P :P .

And as for the trend of nuns or male virgins, sadly I have no idea. I think it's a sign of age, like not knowing or caring what is Number 1 in the charts.

Sliding back on topic, I went down to the surgery last Thursday for a host of blood tests, for diabetes, Vitamin D, serum magnesium, urea and electrolytes, liver function and god knows what else. It was almost an armful.

Anyway, got a phone call from Fiona the Vampire on Friday; she'd forgotten one. Parathyroid hormone. Don't blame her for a minute. Going back tomorrow morning, by which time she might have thought of something else as well.

See? Multiple pathologies, whatever they are, make you anaemic.

It's a good job that you are stoic Mike.

Life can be a bit of a treadmill at times.

Meanwhile, on the treadmill, more blood tests in a fortnight to recheck renal function, which is a bit below par. I'm not bothered by this, it's been iffy for a good 15 years. I knew it was a bit off cos it was like peeing Fairy Liquid a couple of days last week. That's back to normal now.

And there was me thinking I could give up going to the surgery for Lent. That's me in trouble with God again....

I know I haven't banged on my about my mobility problems, other than sticking up my current avatar, but things appear to have gone tits up.

I'm off to the doctor on Monday to ask for a review from the neurologists. I now can't stand up from a sitting position without my legs starting a gross tremor, which if I don't reach a vertical position, sits me right down again. Unless my legs are dead straight in the vertical, with knees locked, the shaking starts. It's embarrassing. Stairs are impossible as opposed to difficult, and kerbs are a challenge. There is a long list of things that can cause this, but with sudden onset that shortens it considerably. Oh well, what the hell.

At least now I can apply for full rate mobility PIP. I can convert that to a flashy 8mph road going mobility scooter on the Motabilty scheme, so it's an ill wind, and all that...

Right, moan over. The witty quips can start again :D

PS No I won't tell you the list of thing that can cause this.

Another trip to the mainland.

Hope you get an early appointment to determine the cause Mike.
