Sometimes you just have to suffer. I don't always agree with that sentiment, but today is my day.

You see, I have a headache, but not just any headache-I have a Serotonin Syndrome headache. It differs radically from a normal headache because my pain medications only make my suffering worse. At about 4am my time, I took a dose of Dilaudid. In short order, the pain got worse. The use of my whammy last night for my pancreas pain also failed to calm my headache.

I was up with the pain all through the night and early morning. Now, I am actively dreading my next, scheduled dose of Dilaudid. I have to decide if my pancreas pain control is more important than getting rid of the headache by missing a dose of Dilaudid. Decisions, decisions....

Well, even though my head is pounding, I need to make a few phone calls. I will let you know how things turn out with the headache.

Much Love from the Suffering South!!

After awakening from a few hours sleep, my headache was gone. Unfortunately, my blood pressure was much, much lower than normal. After taking my blood pressure again, I was ready to go to the hospital. My blood pressure remained low, and I started to pass out a few times.

I got to ride in an ambulance for the first time in my life.
My blood pressure evened out. There are some blood work issues, but I may need to see a specialist.

Rough times Sassy! I hope you are feeling a bit better by now.

I have had a ride in an ambulance once many years ago when you could call an ambulance and one turned up   .

These days in the UK getting a ride in an ambulance is a rarity - they take so long to turn up you are either dead or better by the time they arrive.

Hugs

Jane xx
