If I were a Buddhist...

Post by MikeyB » Thu May 05, 2016 10:45 am

Sometimes you wonder is someone has got it in for you. In 1996 I developed Type 1 diabetes, 1997 developed ulcerative colitis, 2000 sudden worsening of asthma, 2014 sudden onset of motor neuropathy mainly affecting the legs, and now so bad that I have to use a wheelchair to get down to the local shop. Now I've got CP. Well, fair enough, s*** happens.

But if I were a Buddhist I would be wondering what I did in an earlier life that had to be shriven in this.

So, let's have a look and see who popped their clogs while I was just a foetus in 1952.

Lo and behold, Josef Stalin

Things could get a whole lot worse....

Mine are Che Guevara, Jack Ruby and Tommy Lucchese (founding member of the mafia)
First 2 are either murders or heroes depending on personal view.

Something bad must happened to you in a previous life, Mike.

Beatrix Potter, Tesla, Fats Waller, and Rachmaninov are just some of those who popped their clogs in my year.

I would prefer it to be Tesla, if, I had any choice.

:)

I'm a 77 baby, 76 conception so I'm either Agatha Christie, Field Marshall Montgomery or my personal favourite ... Chairman Mao :D.

I've looked and they are all a load of nobodies for my year - my sincere apologies I suspect they were someone to someone   .

Apart from Clark Gable and I can't be him can I? I haven't got a moustache (well not much of one anyway)  .

Jane, you could have chosen Aneurin Bevan with your NHS connections or if you wanted a female, Paula Hitler, Adolf's sister.

 :)

Ooh they didn't come up on my list!

Paula Hitler? Maybe not - you wouldn't want to have him as a sibling would you? My brother and I used to fight all the time - just think what could have happened to me if he'd been Hitler

Hugs
