Re: Life as a GP practice manager
I do understand Jane, just trying to be on the patients' side a bit. I just hate when things are taken out of our hands like this. But in the end, it is only a GP visit, why worry.

Re: Hello again
Great to hear from you Bob, and about your being able to have the new CF drug. I have heard great things of these new drugs from some CF sufferers the USA so I hope you continue to benefit.

Re: Life as a GP practice manager
Fortunately as yet we are allowed to see any GP for non urgent appointments, if we can get an appointment that is. I don't even know who my named GP is. I only want to see my regular one. Well I have seen my named GP's name, but have forgotten . John feels just the same. Whenever we have to fi...

I have had it up to
with NHS inefficiency, slowness and general inactivity. Please Jane go and organise them. I know you could do it.

Re: Alan's blog........
I remember right before lockdown I went for a final M&S food shop. They had tried getting the public to socially distance in the hope they could put off lockdown, but that had failed. I was trying to social distance, but it seemed nobody else was. I had a basket (pretty full) and went in the self ch...

Re: Life as a GP practice manager
Oh Jane, that is just so sad, I felt so upset reading about your patient. That poor person. I fear there will be many more such cases. Plus even the more less urgent cases will be suffering more of course, and worrying of course. I know the first couple of months were awful for the hospitals, but th...

Jane, that made me laugh, sorry Alan. It is like me taking John to B&Q and the same thing happening.

Re: Things that happen in lockdown
I think the supermarket and other shop workers have been fantastic, and like you say Jane, no recognition. Same with dustmen, postmen and other delivery folk who have kept working throughout, though they are pretty distanced of course. No doubt there are others I can't bring to mind in my early morn...

Re: Things that happen in lockdown
That is very sad for your neighbour Sharon. I hope he has a quick recovery from both the stroke and Covid. ,With strokes you have to get treatment super quick. I am sure you will be fine as far as your chat with your unfortunate neighbour goes though Sharon, unless he coughed or sneezed of course. J...
