Re: Life as a GP practice manager

I hope you have sorted all your naughty patients Jane. What is it with everyone? They should all be learning how to cope with their own ailments by now. By the way, I keep meaning to ask you. Does your practice use the e-consult thingy? If so, how is it working. I keep having a look, but it seems a ...

Re: Chinese Virus

But it is suspicious that the virus was found just a few miles away from the virus laboratory  But I agree, it will be the bats. They need to stop eating these wild animals. I am not going to eat any more bats.

People like that should be taken around back of building and shot to save lives of innocent people.
Agreed, its the selfish that will keep this virus rolling on.
So true Adam.

Re: Things that happen in lockdown

Fast clothing I guess Jane. They don't buy to last these days, just buy cheap, wear a few times, throw, and buy new. One thing John told me was that some online clothing shops aren't taking returns(not that I want to go to the PO anyway), so really it is going to be difficult to buy from them, and t...

Re: Life as a GP practice manager

Oh Jane, wouldn't life be so much easier without these patients? (Well that was a silly question Marilyn ) You have my permission to tell him to do whatever you want him to do  What a wonderful nurse you have there Jane. Thank her from me for doing what she is doing. I am so glad she is l...

Re: Chinese Virus

I think we could begin to manufacture more things in our own country. We do import so much, and yes much is needed, but a lot is complete and utter rubbish. I will be looking at where items are manufactured in future, though of course Chinese stuff is often necessary and cheap. But we don't need all...

Re: Things that happen in lockdown

I think more and more people are beginning to abuse the lockdown 'rules' from what I have seen in reports. Thing is if they do catch it who will they blame? Not themselves for sure.

Re: Things that happen in lockdown

You are correct there Mike. I would think in some of the retirement villages in Florida there are lots of parties, barbecues, gatherings going on. Though I'm not sure anyone gave an age for the naughty people on here, young or old. The 2 grandmas and 1 grandad we see mixing with their family are all...

Re: Life as a GP practice manager

Good points Jane and helpful. I knew you would be being even more proactive at your surgery. To be honest I am glad the surgeries are a bit quiet just now so it gives you all a bit of breathing space. I hope that quietness has reached your office! There might just be another spike as the lockdown is...

Re: Chinese Virus

It is ok to be angry at the Chinese rulers, I am, and I think much of the Western world is and I don't call that being racist. But it is not ok to abuse the Chinese in our country(or anywhere), or go and damage property etc. There was a Chinese practice nurse on the news yesterday who had had abuse....

Re: Things that happen in lockdown

It is infuriating isn’t it? The thing is that if it were only their risk then that is up to them, but if they then spread it due to their selfishness that’s another matter. And what about it they end up in hospital and the NHS staff have to look after them? Don’t they GET that people are dying? :ev...
