Re: Alan's blog........

Sarah would love a real tree. However, she has a rescue ex stud dog and he has trouble distinguishing between indoors and outdoors at the best of times. Sarah has seen what he does with real trees  and thus Steve was sent into the loft to find the fake one. Judging by the length of time he wa...

Re: Xmas 2018 is nearly here

Jane, I find it dangerous ground to give even a hint of suggestion that anything a man finds in his pants is big

Re: Alan's blog........

The food questions are too much for Sarah to contemplate. They have her looking around the room wondering what she could eat. When the room contains two dogs and a husband, this is not a good train of thought.  Sarah wonders if CBD oil would help with the ever-present pins and needles...

Re: Rasism

Mmmm Lorne Sausage. And black pudding and even a bit of haggis. I do think Scottish breakfast is better than English and I'm speaking as a soft southerner :P Mind you, the last Scottish breakfast I had (pre pancreas issues, sadly) was way too many calories to count and I couldn't eat anything else f...

Re: Xmas 2018 is nearly here

Honestly, Paul!  I haven't missed our lights being turned on as there's nothing to miss this year. Asked DD to google when the switch on was as my sister and I usually go down, get ourselves a large sausage (steady now, Paul) and sing along to the carols. The highlight for me is singing a...

Re: Feeling sad this week

Best wishes to your daughter and hope it all goes well tomorrow. I've had the same op for late miscarriage and it was straightforward and easy - I barely knew I'd had an op. The emotional fallout is harder but she will get there, and it sounds as though she's coping well - I'm sure having you all ro...

Re: Don’t ever get disabled

It's just appalling, Mike. Why don't the people who design these things actually try them out? It shouldn't take too much imagination to get hold of a wheelchair and see if what they've built is actually possible. I suspect someone able bodied walks around and thinks "that'll do". Or worse, that the...

Re: Are you ever naughty?

Yes...my self control is non existent. 🍰🍫🍩🍕🍟 I'll get a completely pain free few days or really good bowels and I forget. My memory for previous pain and suffering is terrible :D . And I eat chocolate cake, or a bacon sandwich. Wednesday night I made a lasagne for an extended family meal. I used a l...

Re: Don’t ever get disabled

Wow, I remember Pebble Mill! Do you have your own copy of the programme you were in? Good on you for highlighting it. You'd think Mothercare, of all places, would be one of the better ones. I too remember that the Clarks in Worthing had the children's shoes upstairs (no lift). Which was fine once bo...

Re: Don’t ever get disabled

Different context, but I used to take my younger daughter and nephew out a lot in a wide double buggy when they were little. It would fit nicely down the shop aisles until you suddenly came to a tub of something which had been plonked on display by the shop right in the aisle. Corners were too narro...

Re: Xmas 2018 is nearly here

I saw the heading for this post and just knew it was you Paul! Me too! I think I remember similar from last year  I have not bought any presents, much less wrapped them. I dispensed with stockings for the girls last year which was a huge relief (though I still carry some guilt that I stopped t...
