Re: Life as a GP practice manager

Well there was a senior manager who came up with the idea, a few under managers who had to work out how to implement it, further larger numbers of assistant under managers tasked with area responsibilities, many general admin workers putting it into place, then the various practice managers having t...

Re: Worst thing eaten

No, in my mind that is pretty much top of the list of the worst things I could think having eaten of Paul  :? . Slugs give me the heebie jeebies at the best of time, but to think..... . I made some custard when our children were little, well I was always making custard actually  ...

Re: Alan's blog........

Marilyn is a tad jealous of Saxie having cleaners coming in every 2 weeks, and with super duper equipment too! However, Marilyn(or maybe John  ) would have to clean the house before allowing the cleaners inside  John actually does the hoovering here since he retired and the latest Dyson...

Re: Alan's blog........

Re: Life as a GP practice manager

We would have riots here if the NHS/government said that either no school until children are vaccinated, or no child benefits. I don't know how they managed to bring that in in Australia and France. France love revolting and blocking roads etc. Here we would say it is a breach of human rights and he...

Re: Life as a GP practice manager

John read something in the paper about paper prescriptions being stopped and if you are at the GP and need a prescription you get a bar code to take to the pharmacy. I guess on your smart phone or they print one out for those of us who don't have one. Presumably for regular prescriptions we order on...

Our Stuart is taking a break

I just wanted to let you all know that our wonderful Admin., and main Mod. Stu is having to take a short break from the forum. I know many of you have been missing him as have I. He has a lot going on in his life right now and, quite rightly, this place is a way down his list of priorities. He has s...

Re: Life as a GP practice manager

   Please someone, overhaul the NHS management. Why on earth can't the powers that be just see what is happening? There must be millions of £'s being wasted one way or another, and lives lost, or patients unnecessarily suffering, as a result of incompetence or the money not going to...
